  • The Pros Of Outdoor Pooltables

What exactly is an outside pool table, what makes it legit for using out-of-doors? Well essentially it is the same as each and every alternative pool table, only the frame and cloth are treated to secure against the weather influences. The framework is either pressure treated wood, just like the decking on your courtyard or fibreglass which is perfectly weatherproof. The cloth is treated with a Simonise type process so it keep off water. ( I have witnessed the cloth put under a tap and the water just runs off and the cloth is dry to the touch afterwards - grand) Other than that everything else is the same as any other table you will find in your local pub, using the same balls and cues as you would in a bar or pool hall.

Also they are a slate bed pool table which is to say the playing surface is made from slate, so they will last a long time. The only thing that may happen is the cloth colour will get light over time after exposure to the sun. To prevent this, all the time protect the table when you are not playing on it.

Playing the table will be just the same as a pub pool table only there is bags of room being outdoors on the patio and you don't have to think about if you have capacity in the house or not. Some of the tables also come with alternative table tops and benches so your pool table can double as a picnic table when you have outdoor dinners etc. very effective. Also the wooden types of the outdoor table can be matched to the color of the stain on your decking, so it will adapt pleasantly.

When not in use say in the wintertime , the outdoor pool tables need to be covered to prevent leaves and other autumn bits getting onto your table. Commonly they come with capacious covers that can be attached to the legs to protect them until they are used again next spring. A really good bit of patio furniture don't you think?
